Purpose	This database of Congressional District Boundaries was developed from U.S. Census Bureau 2000 TIGER/Line files as a result of the most recent redistricting effort.

Horizontal Positional Accuracy
Lineage	Source data are the Census Bureau TIGER/Line Files, Version 2000 A block equivalency file for Congressional Districts was received from the MN State Court Redistricting Panel. Using Maptitude Software a Legislative Districts boundary file was created in Caliper format. This file was then converted into a shapefile.

Doing so will tell your browser to start downloading a self extracting 'ZIP' file which will contain the following: cong2002.dbf cong2002.shp cong2002.shx After downloading this self extracting 'zip' file (which will have an '.exe' extension), simply execute (run) the file. Doing this will automatically extract the files described above. You can then delete file types that you do not need, if any.
